Job Summary
Carb Club Ceramics is at an exciting point in our journey as we open our brand new location in London Fields! We’re looking for a friendly, hands-on team member who can work as both a pottery studio assistant and barista, helping us bring the new space to life and create memorable experiences.
Job Description
You'll help create a warm, welcoming environment where customers can relax, paint, and enjoy great plant-based coffee and pastries!
This role combines creative ceramic work - from running private workshops to glazing and firing pottery - with coffee service behind the bar.
You'll also support day-to-day operations and get involved in creating social content that captures the Carb Club vibe.
Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to work some weekend and evening shifts.
Job Requirements
Demonstrates reliability and a strong eagerness to learn and adapt.
1 year of experience in glazing and firing ceramics is preferred, but not required - full training will be provided.
Barista experience is useful but not required - full training will be provided.
Has an interest in social media and current content trends.
Some experience with social media is a plus, but enthusiasm and willingness to learn are just as important.
Friendly, approachable, and confident in customer-facing environments.
Job Responsibilities
Welcome guests and introduce them to the pottery painting process, including the dos and don'ts.
Be on hand to assist with questions and offer creative guidance throughout sessions.
Set up and reset the studio before and after workshops and private events.
Glaze customers' bisque pieces once painted.
Load and unload the kiln with care and attention to detail.
Support with day-to-day studio operations, including stocking shelves and packaging finished ceramics.
Prepare and serve drinks (hot and cold) from our coffee bar.
Help to create social media content that showcases the Carb Club experience
